Cruising Van Nuys Blvd. in the late 1970s Blog

Minor updates to the site and more photos to come soon!

Just wanted to let everyone know that we just uploaded the newest version of the site today with a few minor page cleanups and the removal of the Memories page (if you would like to share some of your memories of cruising The Blvd., we suggest that you consider joining our Facebook Group with over 400 members now! Additionally, we added some more advertisers to some of our pages that we think may be of interest to our visitors. Also, if you are interested in purchasing a photo to remember this special time and place, please feel free to send us a message using our Contact page. We can print many standard sizes in-house (up to 13 x 19) that would be perfect for framing. Lastly, we still have a few more photos to post to the site (coming soon!).

Photo Galleries #13 and #14 Posted

Photo Galley #13 and Photo Gallery #14, each containing 12 images, have been added to the site. This brings the total number of photos posted to 168 (with still more to come as time permits to work on them). While not all of the photos are the best, many people are looking to see if there is a shot of them or their vehicles in the collection so we are trying to post all of the acceptable ones that we can.

New Website Design

In an effort to make this site a little easier to navigate, we have redesign this website where the menu to various pages now appears at the top of each page. Additionally, we have removed the Terms and Conditions popup window from the Home page (as well as some others) so people can read what the site is all about before delving deeper into the site (note: the Terms and Conditions “Agree” or “Decline” popup is still present on our Photo Gallery pages). In the past, we have found that several people have downloaded our photographs and use them without our permission (sometimes attempting to alter the image by removing the copyright to make it seem like their own). Overall, we feel that one of the values of these photographs is to maintain their integrity of location, place, and time that reflects a very special meaning to many of us. One last thing, more photos will be posted soon!

Website reopened and new features

Unfortunately, we had to take this website offline for the last week due to an Admin of a Facebook Group who took a photo off this site and posted it in violation our copyright by removing the watermark and sepia toning the image without permission. Here at PAST, INC. (the owners and operators of this site), we feel that it is important to maintain the location, context, and ownership of the photographs contained in our Photo Galleries. As such, we have taken additional steps on this website to protect this. One of these steps include an overlay of our Terms and Conditions that you must Agree or Decline to before viewing our Photo Galleries (other measures have also been taken). As a member of our “Cruising Van Nuys Blvd. in the late 1970s” Facebook Group put it “It’s our heritage” and we fully intend to enforce our copyright on the photographs and website vigorously by any and all legal means.
